Nurturing Talent
As a very young boy Luca would sing incessantly around the house. He commenced ABRSM singing lessons at a young age during his pre-prep years with the amazing Tom Colwell (Baritone), where his emerging talent was spotted.
The Journey Begins
By seven years it was apparent that Luca could sing well. His school suggested that he applied for Choristerships as he approached Prep School age. Luca successfully gained places at some of the UK’s top Chorister Schools but declined their offers as he did not wish to attend boarding school at such a young age and preferred to continue residing with his family. Just before his eighth birthday he auditioned for Libera Boys Choir in Norbury, London. As they say the rest is history!!
Accomplished & Professional
As a soloist Luca has performed at Grayschott Concerts with conductor Sir Karl Jenkins, invited treble on Aled Jones rendition of Vespera and American producer Kurt Bestor’s new Ave Maria. Luca was crowned male soloist in the BBC series ‘Young Chorister’ in December 2022 . He released his first solo album ‘Rise Up’ independently in May 2023 which featured almost exclusively classical music.
Since December 2022, Luca’s musical journey has gone from strength to strength. His first non-classical solo single ‘When Christmas Comes To Town’ went straight to number 1 in The FAB Chart ( an independent music chart). A year later, his next solo release also a Christmas hit ‘ Somewhere In My Memory’ also went to number 1!
Luca now works exclusively with international acclaimed Steinway Artist and music producer Dominic Ferris. Together they have completed 14 master recordings which are diverse in style, featuring well-known musical theatre standards, hits from films such as ‘The Godfather’ and ‘The Greatest Showman’ along with contemporary interpretations of pop classics. Dominic has also co-written two original songs for Luca.
Their musical alliance continues with the addition of vocal mentorship, advice and professional development coaching from the fabulous British Tenor Jonathan Antoine ( who rose to fame on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent).
2024 looks to be shaping up as a great year for the young artist.
A promising future
At 14 years of age, Luca has already performed across the world with Libera Boys Choir. In November 2023, he hosted and performed a full two hour concert with Dominic Ferris at RCBC Plaza in Manila. Guest artistes included Regina Saban (1st prize winner in the Philippine National Music Competition ) and young British dancer, Darcey Redman. The concert was endorsed by Mr Roberto F. De Ocampo OBE (former Philippine secretary of finance) and was attended by several dignitaries including the UK Ambassador for the Philippines, Laure Beaufils.
Luca’s story continues. His new album ‘Through my eyes’ will be released on 30 April 2024. It is hoped that this will be the catalyst for further recording and castings as his notoriety flourishes.
As an independent artist, keen young actor and musician the world awaits.
Making music started as a hobby for Luca and now as recordings progress it has become a full time job for the members of his family. To produce one single professionally recorded and mastered track costs over £500 UK pounds!! Independent Publishing is an expensive business and the return yielded goes straight back into the pot for more recordings but simply does not cover what is needed.
